Annapurna Base Camp Trek lies in Annapurna region trekking in the western part of Nepal. This trek is called Annapurna Sanctuary Trek too. Annapurna Base Camp trekking is best for natural view, Himalayan scenery and its beauty. Gurung culture and traditions are it’s another special feature.
Himalayan Glacier, hot spring and Modi River are along the way to Base Camp. Annapurna Base Camp trekking trail goes along with view of beautiful peaks of the giants – Annapurna 1, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Fang and the fishtail peak which is called Machapuchare in Nepali Language. Although there is only one entrance to the sanctuary itself, we follow locally known, lesser-used approaches and exit routes on our premier Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
Annapurna Base Camp is encircled by the famous Himalayan peaks – the ‘fishtail’ spire of Machapuchare (6997m), Gangapurna (7454m), Annapurna 1 (8091m), the unclimbed Fang (7647m) and Annapurna South (7273m). The only approach follows the Modi Khola Valley through forests of oak, rhododendron and bamboo, passing through local Gurung villages to a world of soaring peaks.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek firstly drives from Pokhara to Nayapul or Phedi, then starts walking to follow the trekking trails. Anyway, this trail goes via Nayapul and trekking route follows to Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Tadapani to Chhomrong and lastly Annapurna Base Camp.
