Kathmandu Valley Rim Hiking is popular short hiking to enjoy normal trekkers who likes light trekking around Kathmandu Valley and it has an exotic setting. A tier of green mountain wall surrounds it, which tower mighty snow-capped peaks in winter. The Kathmandu Valley covers an area of 218 square miles and is situated at 4,423 feet (1,348m) above the sea level. It consists of three main towns of great historic, ethnic and cultural interest: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.

This hike starts with a scenic drive to Changunarayan Temple which is one of the oldest temples and is listed as a world heritage site. The temple also reflects brilliant architectural proficiency and religious significance. The trek resumes with a scenic drive to Nagarkot. The famous viewpoint offers enchanting views of sunrise and sunset over the distinguished Himalayas in the nation. From Nagarkot, we will walk to Chisapani then to the Shivapuri. We will get chance to see the diverse flora and fauna of Shivapuri National Park and then we will continue to one of the famous holiday destinations near Kathmandu Valley, Kakani. It is one of the shortest and most adventurous treks around Kathmandu Valley. The trek is a pleasant blend of every hallmark of a typical trek in Nepal. Albeit short, the trek entails the mesmerizing view of the Himalayas along with rich culture along the trekking trail. The diverse landscapes throughout the trek are a delightful introduction with the blend of gorgeous rivers and lush vegetation to accompany us for its entirety.

3-country tour of Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet

I did an 18-day tour of these three countries through Adventure Land Tours operated by Chij Gurung in Thamel, Kathamndu. Arrangements done by Mr. Gurung were very good. Sightseeing and accommodations around Kathmandu were fine if you can overlook the traffic and bad roads around the city. Bhutan was exceptional, its a must see destination. And as for Tibet, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to travel to Tibet by road because road conditions are BAD, and it severely lacks in facilities. Lhasa is worth visiting so my sincere advice would be to fly into and out of Lhasa. If any one is looking for a personalized tour, I highly recommend Adventure Land Tours.
