Trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal was one of the highlights of trekking around the world. In fact, this trek was so important to us that we planned the entire year around this two week adventure.
Trekking to base camp was more challenging than we anticipated, both physically and mentally, but was absolutely worth it. Traveling through the Himalayas of Nepal, spinning the prayer wheels, visiting Buddhist monasteries, and meeting the very friendly Nepali people, made memories our family will never forget.
There are two main seasons to trek to Everest Base Camp, in the fall between October and November and again in the spring between April and May. The true climbing season to summit Everest takes place in April and May, but the more favorable trekking season is during the fall months. This is when the skies are clear and the scenery magnificent.
This trek gives people good adventure walking and nice view of great Himalayas. It is really walking up to 5400 meters high from sea level and get to last walking point is called Kalapathar for trekker. One can see the nice view of Everest and other Himalayan ranges as well.
Except this trekking route there are other trekking routes to get to Gokyo Lake Trek, short trek to Everest View, 3 high passes trek and Khumjung village trek.
One can go other regions trekking in Nepal and some amazing tours to explore nature, culture and tradition with great historical places.
Likewise, Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Circuit Trek are more popular in the Annapurna Region.
Some tours like Nepal Package Tour, World Heritage Tour, Best Nepal Tour and Kathmandu valley tour etc can be done in any season. Also guide and porter hiring services and adventure travel which called paragliding, zipline, bungy, hot air ballon and helicopter tour are possible to do it.
